New Hair Who Dis

I was so excited about all the awesome haircare products I received at GenBeauty. I want to start bringing more hair tutorials and hair products reviews to you guys! Today I wanted to do a softer Mohawk hairstyle and I had the perfect products to create the look including

Miracle Styler Leave-In Treatment @sheamoisture
Boss Dog Styling Creme & Hair Putty @fatboy
Mega Freeze Hair Spray @ithaircare

The leave in treatment protects my hair from all the heat I’m about to throw at it. I use the styling cream to build in more texture and volume to my hair and the putty helps keep my hair up then I finish it off with some hairspray so there is my flyaway action - xoxoRj

Top 5 Liquid Lipsticks!!!

My Top 5 Liquid Lipsticks:

Hello all, I'm back once again to share with you guys my favorite liquid lipsticks. While I love all these colors this is really more about formula. These are the one's that are most comfortable for me to wear. Each of these is comfortable on my lips, does not crack or flake and gives me several hours of wear.

1. Smashbox: Always on Liquid Lipstick in Stepping Out. ( $24 )Not only is this a great formula,    but I love the applicator. Something about the shape works so well its so easy to apply and a streak free formula

2. Tarte: Tarteist Lip Paint in Texas Toast. ($20) This is a whipped  formula so it feels very light on your lips this shade is a collaboration with Grav3yard Girl and is part of the Swamp Queen collection.

3. Colourpop: Ultra Satin Lip in Frick n Frack. ($6) Colorpop has several different formulas of liquid lipstick, but the ultra satin is my favorite. The formula glides on streak free and while it never dries down all the way it does not dry out your lips either.

4. Wet n Wild: Liquid Catsuit in Rebel Rose. (4.99) This is probably the newest item on my list, but these little guys pack a punch. Great pigment, easy to apply, long lasting and they don't dry your lips out!

5. HudaBeauty: Liquid Matte in Trendsetter. ($20) This one has the thinnest consistency, but takes the longest to dry down, however it is a very comfortable dry down. Plus this color is marvelous.

Review: AOA Studio makeup brushes

So a few weeks ago  ShopMissA launched their own line of brushes and as makeup and beauty lovers flocked to their site to place orders, I decided to join in and was able to get a full set of 10 brushes and beauty roll for $10. This is only my second order on this site, but based on what I have received and watched on youtube their products can sometimes be hit or miss, but for a buck you almost have to give it a try.

Description from their website: Introducing AOA Studio Professional Kabuki 10 Brush Set, a collection of ten full-size kabuki-style makeup brushes that help you contour, sculpt, blend and highlight a flawless, full-face look. The brushes feature matte black, wooden handles and silver ferrels which firmly secure the ultra-plush, densely-packed, velvety bristles for minimal shedding.

The Brushes have arrived and my first impression is good. The handles feel sturdy, but light weight and the bristles are really soft, but dense enough that they should be able to do their job. Their are 10 brushes total 5 for face and 5 for eyes. I wish it had the different style numbers on the handles as I am still new to the beauty world and I like to have my brushes labeled it helps me use them correctly and not get them mixed up during application. Nothing like getting your bronzer mixed up with your blush brush.

The face brushes are all similar but with enough unique differences that you can say this is for foundation, this is for blush and this is for concealer. I put them to work over the course of 3 days and was really pleased with the results. They blended very well and did not leave any streaks on my face, I only had one bristle show up on my face and each brush held the product well. I normally use a sponge to apply foundation, but the F1 flat top kabuki brush did such a good job, that its my new favorite way to apply foundation.

The eye brushes are my favorite, I didn't really have anything in my modest brush collection that was similar to any of these so I had fun trying them out and seeing what they worked best for. The two that I loved the most are the E105 pointed precision kabuki brush this is great for under eye concealer and to highlight my brows and the E103 angled precision kabuki brush that works well for the lid and all over eyeshadow application.

All in all I'm very please with this set of brushes and I believe that they would make a nice addition to someone who is building their collection or if you just like having a wide assortment of brushes that you can select from this is an inexpensive set, that you can buy.

unboxing: Tomboxes

Today I'm unboxing TomBoxes

     From their website
Each period cycle we send you necessary supplies as well as jewelry and makeup. Choose from name brand tampons and pads, tell us your skin type and fashion type and we will customize your jewelry and makeup to your wants. Each month our personal shoppers find the best jewelry pieces and name brand makeup to match your needs, those items along with your tampons or pads of choice are then expertly packaged and shipped via USPS to your front door.We also offer options to add to your box. Choose Venus razor blade refill cartridges and/or double the jewelry and makeup each month.
I ordered this box after seeing a few people talk about it on IG, I think this box is good to make sure you always have extra supplies in the house during that time of the month, but based on the jewelry and makeup that is included I would describe this as a subscription box for a teen or young adult. I received my first box about a week after ordering it and because I used a promo code I did the double jewelry and makeup along with the pads, but did not get the razors.
When you place your order you will fill out a survey answering questions about your skin type, complexion, eye and hair color along with what type of jewelry you prefer and the style. I loved the necklace that I received! The infinity symbol is right up my alley, but the bonus piece of jewelry was earrings (which I don't wear) I would have preferred another necklace, but I can always gift it.

     The other items
Expose au natural lips lipgloss It has a great sent and its pomegranate and lemonade flavor but is a bit thick and sticky for me. Absolute nail polish remover, about 6 pads in a small case. (have not tried yet.) BeChic eye liner in chocolate. This eyeliner is a bit stiff and I had to push pretty hard to get it to show up. Furlesse lip-sticks these are used to help remove unlovely lip lines. I will be giving these a try, I'll report back if I notice any difference. I also received a highlight fan brush that is pink and black it was not branded. Lastly I received a Medusa's make-up body shimmer, I was disappointed as this item arrived broken and a lot of the contents were spilled out onto the other items in the box. I pressed it back down and should be able to give it a try its a nice shade. There was also a package of Speach's peanut butter crunch brickle, chocolate is always a welcomed addition.
